Brake discs and pads

Ive got a 99 1.8T and it needs new front and rear discs and pads.

Im not too bothered about spending loads of dosh on 'specialist high performance' brands, so was just looking at the regular pads and discs GSF will sell me.

Before I buy them I wanted to make sure they were good for the job or should I be getting some from VWSpares/other retailer?

You wont find cheaper, I payed 140 quid for mine last thursday and they were at my door friday at 10am. Even fixed my **** up over the phone great guys.

I dunno if its OEM but the pads are mintex so my guess is they are OEM.

I would add though given the cold weather condition we have, you must be careful to bed them in properly, otherwise you could get disc wobble after just few thousands of miles. instant cold/hot does not help.

did mine last year, and they were perfect until last week. too many unprepared hard breaking killed the life out of them
