Anyone done it, my local Audi specialist says it can't be done which is gutting! Anyone know if it's possible and I am being told porkies?

You rock!!!!!!!!! Got any part numbers I can quote at them? Was it just a case of steering wheel off, new stalk in, wheel back on, VAGCOM coding?

Yeah, I've seen that sort of thing but they never list AMK which is why I was confused ! lol It doesn't take much to confuse me lol

the manual is for a VW... the only difference is the engine code which doesn't make too much difference as long as its close to the same year as yours... I bought the same kit and fitted it to mine which is an AMK...

Can't remember the correct engine code in the manual you need to get the right wires connected to the ECU but as I said this has been done to death and there are plenty of threads on this very subject with all the info you need...

You will also need access to VAGCOM/VCDS to enable the cruise control in the ECU or a dealer should be able to do it...

Cheers fella, much appreciated :) Wanted the part numbers so I could tell them to order those parts and fit em as others knew it worked :)

yeah bit more to it than that. the loom isnt in place like on some golfs and you have to run the harness and put new pins in the ecu...

very fun.

I would definately pay somebody to do it, my ******** was twiching through the whole ordeal

Excellent. I need to persuade them that it's possible as they say it's not. Any help appreciated :)

I listed the part numbers in a previous thread.... Audi will tell you they aren't listed... you won't get the bits any cheaper than from Tee Side tbh...

If you need to persuade them its possible then you should be going somewhere else I reckon.... download and print the manual from the ebay links and buy the kit from ebay... if casual enthusiasts can fit it then a VAG specialist can... if they are any good of course...

cost me £115 fitted at awesome gti about a year ago, which i thought was a very good price as it took about an hour to fit.

Anyone got an invoice they can scan so I'm sure I get the right parts. VW teeside say that there are 3 parts to the kit...

Any recommendations as to who to fit around the North Wales area? Awesome want 175 inc VAT now :(

Not gonna get it cheaper parts wise than from tee side and its 3 hours labour of anyones money... Awesome did it that cheap to people through the door...
