Just dont like them. see no reason for them. A nice 3 door was what we need to see.

My mate who works for audi said that all the managers went on a meeting and they were shown an A7, Q3 and an RS3 this week but won't let on any info about them just yet

i like it. If you spending that kind of money it need to be quite a serious car, so 5 doors isnt a bad idea.

the rear of the sportback's just UGLY!!! i mean a two piece tail light in 2010/11 really??????(its like going back to the primitive)
and yeah 5 doors??? maybe for the comon a3 , but the s3 is a pure sports car right? its a (im dare to say it)a track/racing version of the a3 as far as i know.so i see no point in making 4/5 door models for the s3.

A S3 is no where near a sports car mate. The reason they most likely do a 5door verison as it appeals to a wider group of customers. And I wouldn't say the rear end on a sportsback is ugly though. Well I only like the rear end now due to the face lift lights. Ha

Can understand that having 5doors perhaps to some gives a car more of a class feel but for me its a sports car/very hot hatch and so should look like one!

This hot hatch business is becoming ridiculous though, i thought hatches were the affordable way into the market... the standard S3 costs enough as it is!

The Five door takes away the sporty edge for me.
The same feeling i had when i found out the scooby was available as a "wagon"
Like is diluted the "sports" bit.
For that money if i was after a "family car " i would look to the A4... the A3 is too small in my eyes for 5 doors

Dont see how any of the audi range can be classed pure sports car. Most of them are just very capable wagons lol. If spending that kind of money i personally wouldnt be happy with a 3 door... 3 door is a cheap look now I think, 5 doors offers you the practicality and pace that people who buy these cars new want.

the longer doors in a 3 door version makes the car look lower and sportier.

I can remember the days of my 2 door escort vs 4 doors, the escort was marketed as a 2 door coupe and looked so much better
