help please fault code 17748

im after i abit of help please
ive put a set of steel rods and a hybrid turbo on my s3 apy engine and timed it back up but i keep getting a fault code
17748/P1340/004928 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) / Engine Speed Sensor (G28): Incor. Correlation
but car runs perfect with no miss fire can any one help please
or advised whats the best way to time it up ??

your sure you got the cam timing right? looks like its out by the fault code

I would agree with that. It can be a tooth out either side, still run fine be it slightly advanced or retarded, and will still throw up a fault because the position sensors pick that margin of error up.

you sure its not a tooth out on the cam chain.... it will still run okish but will come up with this fault.

would it be chain side ive not touch it only put new head gasket and cambelt kit mate

if you havent touched the chain its probably not going to be that,but its worth checking it all just in case.
