Hi,
My bulb had just blown on my 2001 s3.
Phoning Audi they reckon it'll set me back about 130 quid for a replacement!
That's such a lot of cash, any idea where I can get a cheap one?

Many thanks

Ebay is your best bet...

Might as well buy them as a pair as well mate.

Awesome, cheers guys! I'll go the eBay route, no way I'm forking out 130quids!

Same happened on mine a few weeks ago mate. Audi also quoted me £130 for ONE xenon bulb excl fitting. With fitting about £170 (wtf!). I found out they would simply supply you a Philips one so bought two of these from eBay which are brilliant.

★★ PHILIPS D2S HID XENON REPLACEMENT BULB - 85122 ★★ on eBay (end time 10-Nov-10 18:48:14 GMT)

It's the D2S and the number with a K after (usually 4 numbers, eg 4300K) is the brightness/blueness. The lower the number the brighter so if you go higher I think it gets bluer but less bright.
Anyway it came to about £55 and got Halfords to fit them for £6 a side, result - but......turns out it was a fuse which had blown so probably didn't even need to buy them!!! :banghead:

I'm finding that my bulbs are fine but for some reason the drivers side just dips really low randomly whilst driving! Any idea why this might happen and what I can do to fix it please? Many Thanks :)

Osram D2S nightbreaker are the best bulbs to get. About £80 for a set.
