Evening all

New to Audi ownership. Just bought a 1999 S3 which I'm pretty damned well delighted with. However, after previous cars handling seems a touch light, twitchy and nervous. Is this a normal trait? Car is standard apart from usual remap, Forge valve, filter etc. Checked out by local independent specialist and nothing appears untoward apart from some perished rear bushes. Tyres are good Maxxis all round. Tyre pressures 32 all round at moment.

Appreciate any advice.

I'd check tracking mate - S3 should definitely not be twitchy and light.

Your car is eleven years old so it won't be at its peak Mark BTW Hello and Welcome to ASN

The s3 is far from light and twitchy, like dave said, you've answered your own question, if the rear bushes are shot then its going to cause the back end to be twitchy.

Thanks for advice; much appreciated.

Will get rear bushes looked at. Am comparing S3 to a 924S and a 911 3.2 (obviously different points of reference, one being neutral and wonderfull, the other being, ahem, less than neutral, but wonderfull)
