Boost leak test

Hi all this has probably been covered before but i want to know if you can really do a boost leak test with a foot pump has anyone done a test this way as i dont want to be wasting my time and legs trying to pump air into my intake in vain lol. I dont have access to a compressor at the moment so i cant do it that way. Thanks for reading.

I think it would take forever with a foot pump...lol, and if you had a leak you would never get it pressured up

Yeah thats what im thinking iv even seen suggestions to use a bike pump but needless to say i wouldnt even go there lol. Thanks for the reply though.

I did my intercoolers with a foot pump, had no leaks so it was easy, used one of these Pressure test system intercooler kkk G60 G40 eaton on eBay (end time 27-Oct-10 13:34:01 BST)

Thanks for the link iv got a big leak but i think i know where it is so il fix that and give this a go for the smaller ones it shouldnt be too hard then.

Take it to any kind of specialised garage and they will smoke test, only cost 30 gold coins when I got mine done
