Shuddering acceleration, help!

Just started this morning, also the gearbox light (I think) coming on and off, any ideas?

I literally just fixed this problem in mine last night, in my case it was a faulty coil pack. £18 off ebay, 15 mins to fit. that's assuming that it is one of the coil packs. does it sound a bit like a suburu when idling? I had all the symptoms you described.

Did a bit of searching on here, one of the coils pushed down quite a bit, can't drive it until later tho, at my work, hope that's it.
