Hi

I've had my 8L 225 for around 2 months now and every so often (sometimes when water is around 70-90) my turbo makes an odd grinding like noise i've got no experience with turbos so me saying it sounds like a bearing will mean nothing, another friend suggested maybe injectors.

Sometimes this happens, sometimes it sounds beautiful, is that my turbo telling me it needs a service or telling me its time to buy a new turbo? (Car has done 100k).

Also hearing a squeaking/grinding when turning on full lock

Thanks for any help you can give, any more details just ask, please help me diagnose :)

With a problem such as that id recommend taking it to a garage as it could be doing costly damage.

I would personallly be looking at the powersteering pump, check fluid level.

Got it booked in at the garage so hopefully will get to the bottom of that, however can't find PAS fluid bottle (for lack of a better word), does it pull it from the brake fluid bottle?

Cheers

No its got its own resevoir on my 1.8t its by the washer bottle so i would think its the same on the s3 so look around there. It will have a thick black rubber pipe going to it.
