I have been quoted £130 for sump & oil pick up clean, is this a fair price?

yes; a rebuilt engine and turbo would cost 10 times as much.....

I dont think, that is unreasonable...messy job and a couple of akward bolts, new sealant and oil...

Well ive just picked up a brand new oil pick pipe and seal for £11 from the dealers , thought for that price whats point in cleaning it, also buying a new sump for just over £50.

That is cheap, i paid £212 from Midland VW on my A4 B5. They charged for 4 hrs labour as it was so bad apparently. It has done 164k though...

i would get a new sump pan. I got one off ebay for £48 delivered. not as good quality as the oem but it does the job and doesnt leak.
