looking for a how to thread - noisy fan blower

searched but no luck, I am looking for a thread on fixing a noisy fan/ blower. I remember a member made a thread on how they fixed it.

please post it if you know.....

mate dunno abouyt a fix, i had this on my A3 and found that the only way to stop it was to position the plug going into it in such a way whilst tying it with tie wraps, was a proper bodge......for ref but assume you know, its behind the glovebox, easy to get to

Replace the blower, that's what I did, you can get them from ebay for a reasonable price, only go for a new genuine one though.

under the glove compartment? how hard is it to replace??

yup open the glovebox, 2 or 3 screws, side panel remove 2 or 3 screws then i think theres one or two to the lower of the GB

just undo everything you can see with the GB open and closed - you'll need a torx driver
