I have a 1.9 TDI engine and it seams to leak a bit of oil when its parking facing downhill, I parked it on my girlfriends driveway which I suppose is about a 20 degree slope and overnight an oil patch about the size of a doughnut was left. I parked near my house last night on a very gentle downward slope and there was an oil patch left but a lot smaller.

Anyone else had this problem? WHat should I look for to rectify it?

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.

firstly; I'd keep an eye on the levels!

A classic scenario seems to be the passenger side of the head to cam cover gasket. Does the TDI have VVT?

I've got it going on there at the moment. A good indicator is to lean over the engine with the cover off and try and see the top of the gearbox to the left on the battery- use a torch; if that's "wet" then it's coming from above that point...

Have a look and come back...

check the breather system. They often clog up and can cause a blockage. This can make the crankcase overpressure and force oil out of funny places including the turbo. Checking the breather system is ment to be part of a service.
