Checking Power Steering Fluid level!! Help needed asap!

Hey all. Probs a silly question but to check the level, do you have to screw it all the way in, then out and check it, or do you screw it out, wipe it and just dip it in the top?

If so, screwing in looks like its over full and just dipping it in looks like it needs topping up!! lol.

Screw it out. wipe it... screw it all the way in then back out to check it.

As Paul said, remove, wiipe, screw in, remove and check.

under the cover on the left hand side looking at the engine from the front

if i remember right... it has a green top.
Colour coded to the fluid so im told????
The top looks like it needs a big **** flat blade screw driver to undo it

or a 2p coin, or the blade of your key. it shouldn't be gorilla arms tight anyway.

Thought it was that, cheers boys, never checked it. What fluid does it take? Think mine is probly due a change.

Make sure you use the genuine stuff,it only costs about £8 from dealers mate

Cheers guys!! My steering feels heavy thats all and i was hoping the fluid was low so itd be a case of topping it up. Would it have adverse effects if it was too full?
