Oil leak

Just spent my sat replacing a niggling oil leak in the rocker cover as it had degreded to nothing. Finally got it back together and it seems to be holding well...but... there is also a leak under the cam sensor that i didnt notice before. What seal could be gone there and is it a hard fix? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like your Inlet camshaft oil seal mate.
I know Audi use a 'Special' tool (don't they always...) for this repair.

Basically the Hall sender is removed, a seal extractor is screwed in and the seal removed, a guide is attached, the new seal is pressed in and put it all back together.

Not too big a job providing you have the tools.

You have got to love Audi and their special tools!!! I def dont have them anyway, would it be hard to buy them or mock one up. Might just give it to the garage, save the hassle!

Hmmm doesnt seem that complex of a tool, found a good write up on the changing it too so might give it a go. Thanks for the help
