A good track day out

Well im not sure about taking my S3 onto a track, im sure ill end up stashing it, not that im a [censored] driver, far from it actually /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/groovy.gif but i was thinking about one of these single seater or saloon car days. Ive looked at the brands hatch one and it's like 10 laps little blue peter badge "well done and off you go home" Id rather go to a shabby track with grease stained overalls and tatty cars and pay money for a proper half day not some glitsy marketing [censored]! Ill pipe down now, if anyone can recommend anything?

keep your eyes open for track days at the bedford areodrome place that jonathan palmer runs.

they ofter do manufacturer days where you go and drive a hot version of a car...i.e my friend did a subaru day and got 4 laps in the new scooby and then you get to take your car on the track ...cant remember how many laps he got but he said he was ready to come off when it finally finished.

he paid about £120 all in IIRC
