S3 STEERING RACK PROBLEM SOLVED!

i put a steering rack on my s3 on saturday as i was having steering issues! but oh man! it took me 3 whole hours and much stress, i have not done one before and dont really want to do one agen!! really filddly and just not nice. but its all done now and think i cud beat my time in future after doing it once. If anyone is thinking of doing it just stay calm and u'll be fine

leaking rack and something catching on clutch pedal. took the plastic cover in the footwell off and turned the wheel whilst clutch was pressed and the collum joint (cant spell) was touching the clutch pedal.. so something wasnt in the correct place? took the rack off the found that one of the mounting brackets was completely snapped!! the guy i brought it off launched it into a big curb. still drove in a straight line tho!
