de cat on 97 1.8 20v n/a

hi guys been trying to find a decent uk forum for ages and stummbled across this one by accident....result!

basicly i think my cat is blocked, so to eliminate this im going to put a decat in it, what i want to know is will this effect it badly? ive done this before and it didnt work for the best

is my car going to be ok or will it do it no good??

Hmmm, not an easy one to call as I don't know what the side effect would in fact be.

Aside from a potential engine management light, I can't see any problems being caused. You gain a small amount of performance also.
