Would 630cc siemens injectors do the job?
The IE site says they flow 550 at 43.5 PSI, which is 3 BAR, so fingers crossed.

Cheers mate, I'm interested to see what will come of it after all this money I've thrown at it.... lol.

They were Bosch Green tops, 440s, normally used on Fords, and have a single spray cone.

from SCN a guy also running the new 034 mani.. not without its little issues, but his first drive impression is below:
What an evening, I just got back from picking up my car and all I can say is holy fu$k its awesome, as it stands it is completely uncivilised and just angry, I had a 50miles journey to collect it and i had to take it easy most of the way, on some of the slower roads my curiosity got the best of me and I gave the throttle a little blip here and there, i cannot believe how well this flows and how fast the spool is, its completely savage.

I will post pics of the stuff that was removed tomorrow but is in shockingly got condition, i guess it has only 40k on it.

Early start tomorrow, will be at the tuners all day to see what we can get out of here, if i have internet access i will post up power runs as we do them, it should be very very interested.

now your going down the manifold route it would be interesting to see how the prices pair up against a big turbo conversion.

Funny you should mention that, but Tuffty and I were talking about that yesterday.

The hardware prices between hybrid and BT are comparable when the manifold is included in the build.

Yes the BT will cost a mite more for the turbo itself, but only on the proviso that you have a worthy K04 for exchange. If not, they are about the same.

The main difference is the fitting however.

K04 hybrids simply bolt on. You go to Audi, you get the bits, and they fit. You buy your downpipe from the web, and it fits. Everything goes together nice and easy and the job can be done without any major headaches.

BT on the other hand, requires a lot of custom pipework. Downpipes aren't just an off the shelf item, and neither are TIPs for example. Coolant and oil lines are different and need to be custom made. Simply, that is where the cost of a BT conversion rises at a rapid rate.

IMO, hybrid with a manifold isn't really that much cheaper to buy the kit. It's getting it on the car that costs.

I would be interested in one aswell. But I could import this rather cheap as we get parts in every 2 weeks so may work out cheaper to source myself...be interesting though.

Speaking of said manifold..... here it is in a mock fit scenario.

We had some concerns with regard to fitment between the turbo and the manifold, and wanted to fit out of the car, as fitting in situ, you wouldn't know.

No issues at all with this one, although there have been reports with issues fitting others....

At least it show how much of a pain this will be to fit....

    I remember dude .

I didn't need on back then and wasn't planning on needing one either.

The sole reason this is being fitted is necessity. That large port head NEEDS a high flow manifold - I have never seen anything like the state of my manifold after a power run. Could of lit a fag off it!

So on the basis you have a small port head, the hybrid is still the most cost effective (parts wise) and easy method to reach 300bhp ,

I would imagine that a high flow mani would still give good results on a small port head

Whilst I agree dude, it isn't a (well, is a less) necessary expense if a small port head is being used is the point.

Speedy Steve's hybrid setup is using a OEM mani with an SP Head and EGTs are significantly less.

Worth doing if you have Ł300 handy, but not needed.

Agreed, It'll be interesting to see how much of a difference all of you large pipes and ports make over Steve's and if Ł300 increases performance and potentially increases the longevity of enginer bay parts I'm in

Well, the performance differences seem to be torque related at this point in time. Final mapped product with the injectors, TIP and mani over last session should give a final figure.

Well, will you post up pics and parts of your 3" TIP when you've done it, really want to fit one but im unsure of the 3" alloy joiner as it will need 4 ports adding to it for the dv etc.

I take it the 3" tip will be made out of alloy, right? So there shouldnt be any collapsing issues, think I might make one tomorrow.

The ones ive seen consist of a 3" silicone elbow from the MAF into a 3" alloy joiner then into a 3" to whatever the inlet on the turbo is elbow, the 3" alloy joiner has then been modified with variuos inlets for the dv, n75 etc.
