I am sure INA/034 wouldn't have had a problem with the thread if it is good press!!

I placed an enquiry with the view to purchase one of the these manifolds when I first saw the RR results. I was advised that 034 would make contact with me as soon as the next back was ready.... I am still waiting for that email.....

If INA/034 were to sort out the obvious problems with these manifolds and turn this product around people would snap this product up, myself included.

All the press would be great, with people reconising the good customer support and constant commitment to manufacturing a quality product.

Sort it out, prove the product and I WILL buy one.

He really is giving himself bad press here. He's made it so much worse and shown just how unprofessional the company is, or more so the products. Does he think car manufacturers go threatening when they get bad reviews?... No, they take it and improve. Exactly what people on this forum want to do with there own cars, and I guarantee all the lads on here back what welly and bill say and do for all of us in terms of honest advice and information. Something obviously not familiar with 034.

I never said Bill comments did not have a place in this thread. THEY DO....a solution was supplied and thats that. There is no reason to egg this on any further. My two cents having dealt with 034 & INA directly on many occasions is they don't deserve this, a public flogging is a bit cruel & unprofessional. I was always under the impression that parts supplied for modified cars are bought without any intended warranty due to the fact they don't know how the intended user will beat the crap out of the part. Were pre-turbo EGT's ever logged during dyno tuning!?! were they kept sensible or has it had the life squeezed out of it? High power cars on the edge tend to chew up parts, nature of the beast is it not? Issam is a good guy and he shouldn't be made out otherwise. My OMG post was because this was played out like this. Like I said just my 2 cents, I'm done, flame suits on.

Im no bandwagoner maybe if youd thought about your product a little more and not used pig iron you wouldnt be in this situation believe me i build and sell medical equipment that costs $250,000 to 500,000 each and if we used any materials that were not upto the job and had an attitude like yourself well we'd have more law suites on our hands than i dread to think about. I highly recommend you stop trying to have a slagging match with forum members on here sort your product out and prove that it works with a Hybrid K04 pushing 26 psi and egt's of 900+ cos thats what we hit very quickly. If you cant well give up. Its as simple as that.

Dont bring your crap to this forum!

Firstly, Bill is NOT a sponsor on this forum, secondly my moderation on this site is not up for debate.

I have contacted everyone involved and have left the ball in the courts of others. If they would like the thread edited, then i will. I will not do it because you do not like people posting the truth and having opinions differing from yours.

You did state that Bill had no place posting anything gained from elsewhere as it was not relevent to this situation when clearly the information was relevent to this situation that has been raised during this build and clearly others too.

You are entitled to your opinion, as are the others, no one will flame you at all.

You are posting YOUR experiences and fortunatly for you they were good ones, the OP and others have not been so lucky, or this thread would not have taken this direction sadly.

Had the part been fine from the get-go then this would not exist.

Had a useable replacement been available, then this thread would not exist.

Sadly neither of theses criteria were met, so the thread continues at the OPs discretion.

My "crap" has been on this forum long before you were a member. Please do not insult my hard work. If I wanted to post like a child and rant I could very well do that so please take a minute to realize who you are talking and what we done / have to offer for this community.
You should really relax , go grab a beer or 2 before you post again. It would help everyone.

If this is how you as a moderator wish to conduct this situation then by all means go right ahead but you are very much misinformed.

Where did I state that people could not post what they want?
If there is a problem with a customer (lets call him Joe Schmoe for the sake of argument) in the USA. What concern is this customers experience to Welly , badger5 or Audi Sport if HE has not posted it? Have him create his own thread and I will deal with him 1 on 1. Asking me or posting information with respect to another customer is unprofessional. How does this information affect anywhere here? You FAIL to see this point of view.

A useable replacement is available. I would love Welly to try a coated manifold and IF that cracks THEN I would say ok we tried everything .

Usable replacements that meet Badger5's specs are months out and we made that clear 3 WEEKS AGO. Please go back and read the thread.....why is it on December 14th and 15th this is still being surfaced? What good is it doing? We know there is a dissatisfied customer and we have temporarily pulled the product from the market until further notice. Allowing other shops , forum members to egg this on is doing what good? It is just adding fuel to a fire.

    YAWN? Really?
You dont need to multi quote anything as this has been exhausted enough.
Whoever has been affected is being dealt with and if they have an issue with the level of service they can express it to me via email directly , not through some biased forum.

ALL companys and supliers get shot down on here if they have fallen short of what they promissed to deliver.
Its just how it is, The Mighty AUDI badge gets burnt at the stake from time to time...
Its just peoples opinion when somebody says" ive fitted a xyz to my car and it failed within a week" to which somebody says " ye, this happened to me too" should this be pulled from the forum for bandwagoning??
Take it on the chin, Sort the problems and people will want a group buy within weeks !

I won't. EVER - the responses on this forum by INA have shown me what their attitude is towards people who experience issues with their product. My personal opinion of this is that they are not the sort of organisation I would send my money to for any product.

Please outline where our attitude towards the affected Party (welly) has been anything but positive? Badger5 is the shop that INSTALLED the manifold and we found out about the failure PUBLICALLY. It is unfortunate that you dont want to support us as we have alot of great products for the 1.8T 20V motor. And by alot I mean over 200 various products.
We are the only company on the market that offer a true baffled oil pan system for the 1.8T , true dry sump system , a 2067cc stroker kit and high performance throttle body upgrades just to name a few.

    THATS THE ISSUE
Where is the "ye this happened to me too". That is the problem we are having....there is NO "ye this happened to me too". There is only been 1 affected person - welly. His situation was dealt with 3 weeks ago.
Guys please use some form of reasoning and see what is being posted here. I strongly believe I am wasting my time because my words are falling on deaf ears.

    Right. Enough now.

I'm sorry Issam, but the posts on this thread are relevant information in my opinion, relevant to both the thread as a whole, as well as being applicable to the product. Thus they will stay, at MY discretion. I have been contacted by 2 moderators with regard to this thread, and I have asked them to leave the information as is for the time being. I will happily remove the posts you request if and when a batch 2 reliable manifold is produced and proven by me. Not until then, as up to that point, the information here IS relevant.

    End of discussion.

I do feel this thread has turned into somewhat of a point the finger thread, and that was never my desire in any way. As I have previously posted, I am happy as long as what we have discussed privately at the point of the previous manifold failure becomes a reality.

Everyone has chipped in and said their piece at this point. Everyone now knows what the state of play is, and where everything is at.

No more discussion about the manifold please . Any further posts on the subject I will request Mark to remove.

Is everyone OK with this? Because if not, that's dammed unlucky.

Yes mate, very very happy with the outcome. I've about 200 miles on the motorway since it's been installed and it has proven to be a pleasure to drive by comparison.

No drawbacks, but two benefits. Better boost top end of the rev band, as well as increased driveability.

Prior to cracking which of the manifolds tested by bill have shown a real world gain? Has he had chance to test that JBS one floating about??

The 034 one had massive potential. Being based solely on the OEM item, with enlarged runners and collector.

The gains can be clearly seen on a dyno graph. My setup gained around 30 bhp real output. However, that is purely top shelf power.

The reason for this being that you can actually see the engine's gas flow speed through the OEM manifold strangling performance from around 5000 RPM onwards.

I will fish the graphs out.

A point to note was that there IS more lag with the higher flowing manifold, however this is a trade off for the top shelf power that is gained.

    OK, and here it is.

Both of these are hot runs, so not showing best power produced, however it does clearly show the point where the OEM manifold starts to strangle the engine.

I have my theories that the large port head doesn't help this, as it is firing more air through than a small port would be, exacerbating the problem.

Also note the difference in the way the torque is produced.

Yeah, that would be good actually. I think my clutch may well be due soon, after I smoked the living Jesus out of it doing a 4K launch.... Whoops.

WMI will be being fitted over the Christmas period whilst I have some free time. Work has been manic, and I have been doing a lot of jobs here and there as well which have taken up most of my evenings.

I've got a Devil's Own WMI controller here which I am actually in the process of soldering up as we speak.... at work of course..., as it has a problem with one of the chips on the board.

I'm hoping to get it back on the dyno now that I have done the N75/Parallel install. Interested to see what the power production difference is with the better top end boost.

It's making good airflow still, but then again, always has been, even after the manifold change.

Infact i need to do a few things TIP, catch tank, audio the list goes on have been to busy with work lately and looking after my I'll GF but with the holiday period coming up im sure ill get some time. How big is your WMI bottle and where do you plan to fit it as i really dont want mine in the boot unless it could go where the old sub currently is? Then run some quick lock hoses to the bottle to make it easier to fill

I'm planning on using the screenwash tank matey, and I shall tell you why.

It's conveniently located. No 3 miles of piping to encourage leaks. Built in level sensor with annoying dash warning when level is low.

That would be a great idea as i dont tend to drive mine much during the winter ( dont like getting dirt in the arches) haha the only thing is will a 50/50 mix affect paintwork if you wash the screen or will you have a bottle of water and squirt it out of the window? haha seen it before. How easy is it to get the screen wash bottle out to give it a good clean?

Easy enough. Will have to block off the feed to the headlamp washers as well, but that's not exactly hard.

Plan to fit another, smaller bottle for washer fluid somewhere else and run the washer pump pipework to it.

OK, I have finished soldering up the WMI controller - so will not need to test it to ensure all is OK...

    However, it's coming along...

I ended up having to hard wire it in mate, the pins were snapped inside the board.

If it doesn't work, then there isn't much I can do.

I cleaned all the old solder away so that the board was clear first, so should be OK.

We are the only company on the market that offer a true baffled oil pan system for the 1.8T , true dry sump system , a 2067cc stroker kit and high performance throttle body upgrades just to name a few.
I applaud you for making a lot of products for the 1.8T but that doesn't change the tone in which you are replying to people on here. Shipping a ceramic coated version of a manifold that cracks is not going to solve the actual problem is it? My opinion is that it is not but I am open to hearing how it would have
