got a rather disturbing letter through the post yesterday, asking for £245 to renew my road tax!!! :ninja:

how much has it gone up on the bams with a slightly higher g/km rating?

I have AMK it's still £245 i had a shocker as well

Seen a Aston Martin Vantage with £900 tax the other day.

Tax was 245£ back in May as well guys, so nothing to do with budget. You can still thank Mr Brown for this one :(

I was reading in Evo last month that road tax in Ireland is something like 2k Euros for all >225g/km cars, so we should be thankful for that. ****** thieving taxman!

guys i think the tax changes when the plates do march being the start of the year mine wasnt £245 last december

Yep I was in for a shock too - I used to have a 2000 (APY) and it was around the £200 mark and now I have an 02 BAM and £245!!! What a joke!! I'm definitely getting it remapped now. Might as well get my money's worth!

You still Can be happy in UK because in Ireland I pay over 150 euro for 3 months ('02 AMK) and that's according to the engine size; tax dependant on emission applys to cars registered from 2008 on.
