Hi Guys,

I'm looking to put new alloys on my A3. It currently has factory issued 15's that look like pepper-pots that once upon came on the XR2's!

I have no idea about alloys/wheel fitment. Can someone advise me what alloys I can get that will fit? I'd like something larger 16's to 18's. I'm not looking to spend loads so ideally looking for 2nd hand sets where somebody else has used them for a few years then upgraded.

I saw a set on Gumtree that look decent, but would this fitment fit?

Thanks in advance :eyebrows:

In a word NO!!

You need a pcd of 5 x 100 (100 pcd is the spacing between the bolt holes - 5 being the number of bolts holding the wheel on)

Size can vary anywhere between 16" and 19" and width between 7J and 8.5J (you can however go larger than these sizes but not very effectively)

The ET or Offset determines how far the wheel sits inwards (higher the number) or outwards (lower the number) on the hub. The correct offset for your car is ET35. So therefore you should be looking for 5 x 100 ET 35 16/17/18/19.

Hope this helps.

Ah thanks for the info, i was honestly totally baffled before but now have some idea.
