P0011 error code

hi, i had my car at the garage and got them to run a diagnostics check on it. It came back saying there is a P0011 error code which is for the VVT i believe. iv looked on ross-tec web site and it says to check

• Check Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205)
• Check Fuel Pump Relay (J17)

I think i know were the valve is but is it a hard job to check or replace and also iv no idea were the fuel pump relay is. Is there anyway that you can check these 2 things?

If you know anyone with VAG-COM (VCDS) you can get them to run output test on the Fuel Pump.
