FAO: Eibach Owners. Tracking a Lowered S3

I'm thinking of chucking a set of eibach's on my S3 when I replace all the bushes on the front end.

Whats the deal with the tracking / camber on the front end when its lowered? Will an Audi dealer still be able to track it up to standard ? I know there is some adjustment on the ball joints..

Can't afford to be eating tyres !

It all depends how low you go realy.
Mines around 50mm and even with the camber adjusted right in on the ball joint slots... it scrubs the inside edge of the tyres.
The tracking will be the same setting as before .
The same issue at the rear to be honest, more than say 40mm drop and it will upset the camber and scrub tyres...
There are ways around both but neither will give you any change from 400.

Only going for the 25/20 Eibachs so i'm hoping there will be enough adjustment.

Only changing them as the springs are a bit mismatched age wise so I think it will be beneficial to get them all replaced. OEM is to expensive though.

Not after extreme handing capabilitles so not wanting to spend big money, only cruise up and down the motorway.

    You will be fine then.
They will be able to set the front up with standard settings and the rear willjust have a little more camber. but tyres shouldnt suffer much more than standard

I ran mine 50 mm lower'd for over a year... it killed the tyres in that time so i bought the tie bars...
You should be fine with 25mm

Depends on how many miles you do Ian, my S3 fitted with Eibachs does very little mileage per year, so I never bothered with the tie bars, but I can see the inner edges starting to wear a little, and I have done a few track sessions in it. I have got myself a set of custom tie bars from Dave, not got round to fitting them yet though, as my S3 hasn't turned a wheel for a few months!

Hmm, I do quite a few miles.

Any info on Dave's custom tie bars? Might be an option is there cheap enough.

Stanless Steel Adjustable tie arms Thread.

He has a 'how to' thread somewhere else also.
