VI Monitor Multifunction Gauge vs Liquid ?

Has anybody fitted a VI Monitor Multifunction Gauge (as seen on Awesome GTI's website) to an 8L?

Can you squeeze 'em into a vent space? What's the general opinion between this gauge and the Liquid??

liquid I'd go for between those two.

Have you considered vcds, does all this + more

If you've got an iPod Touch or iPhone then you can get an 'app' (shudder) called 'REVS' or something which looks to do the same sort of stuff as the Liquid...
...just a thought.

The only benefit I can see with the non liquid is the ability to log data, which the liquid sadly doesn't.

what is vcds...?

The VI Monitor gives a shift light for gear changes also- not that, that alone would make me go for it, but it is a touchscreen also which might be a bit less clunky than the toggle on the Liquid. Going towards the Liquid myself though.
Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to get out the centre vents in a post facelift? Do they just pop out or are they bolted in internally...?

Keep in mind the VI Monitor, doesnt log boost.
