Intake air temp sensor

When i took the inlet off to do my catch can set up i thought i would remove my ATS to see what it was like, it was a bit dirty so was careful to give it a clean with some cleaner ( none solvent ) dried it off and refitted it, ran the car and it came up with a code

16497 intake air temp sensor signal too high

Would you say its goosed now

I didn't follow the rule of " if it isn't broke don't fix it ".
