really boomy engine

evening guys ive just been out and gave the s3 a hard drive and now the engine is really boomy.
any ideas i know the standard manifolds are ment to crack easy and im running stage two map with out
a front mount intercooler so this is my first guess, could it be anything els maybe blown gasket?
turbo still pulls really stronge no loss in power,
help...

well it sound more deeper and lauder and blowy if that makes sense lol its coming from the back of the engine by the turbo and you can feel hot air when u put ur hand near it.

i remember my golf sounded awseome (boomy) when i blew the exhaust on it

Manifold or a gasket then prob.. I'd put it down to the manifold gasket usually, poss turbo gasket or downpipe as well.
