A2 Road tax £115

My wife just bought an A2 last Thursday - a 2003 sport.

It's a 1.4 petrol and the road tax is £115 - does anybody know if this is right?

my wifes a2 1.4tdi is only £50 a year?

i'm sure you can check the dutie at the dvla?

I will now answer my own question - it is right - the official CO2 emissions are 146 for the 1.4 petrol. The 1.4 diesel is 115 making it just £35 PA to tax.

That's a massive leap in taxability and yet another example of Gordon Brown taxing under the 'green' banner.
