For everyone eagerly waiting for the upcoming launch of the Audi RS7 (which has been in the rumor-mill for well over two years now) tipped be the ultimate allround Audi, with the largest and most powerful engine yet to be produced by the marque yet, the news isn’t looking good.
The latest new on the street is suggest that the RS7 will be based on the recently launched RS6 to help reduce the cost of production. The RS7 is now tipped to feature the same twin-turbo 4.0 liter V8 engine producing 552hp with the same the top speed of 190mph.
It is also being speculated that the RS6 will not be offered as a saloon as the RS7 will now be for filling this role. The RS7 is due to make its world debut in January 2013 at the Detroit Auto Show.
